The Open Market Day Liability Program-
To make your job easier, UCAI has developed a blanket policy for the exclusive use of temporary tenants. This “Day Liability” Program is available to the temporary tenants of malls. UCAI has made this the least expensive “Day Liability” Program available to temporary tenants seeking a place to show off their business or sell their products.
Why a Day Liability Program?
Temporary tenant leases insist that all tenants give proof that they are insured for basic liability coverage. Many temporary tenants simply do not have a permanent liability policy. They must purchase liability insurance by the day. This can be costly and for many it isn’t worth it to enter a mall for a weekend to general sales and promote their business.
Insurance Certificates-
Liability insurance is sold “by the day”. The Certificate of Insurance provides coverage for the exact duration of the tenants stay. UCAI will fax the certificate to the Mall of choice if the fax number is provided. If Sales are going well and the tenant wants to extend their coverage, the change is only one fax away.
Payment-
Your temporary tenant must pay for the liability insurance BEFORE the certificate will be issued. Once payment has been received by the broker, we will issue the certificate, fax to the mall of choice, & send the original to the broker. Your monthly broker statement will show the charge for the certificate.

- Sales of produce & flowers
- Sales of CD’s, DVD’s & Video Games
- Sales of small giftware items, clothing, jewellery & Makeup
- Sales of Hobby items, cards
- Raffle ticket & other fundraising sales of charity
Who we can not insure –
- Tattoos & Piercing
- Inflatable displays & “bouncy” castles
- Displays featuring cooking or the use fire

Christmas Specials-
Every November, we create the Christmas season specials which allow temporary tenants to rent space for the whole holiday season at a flat rate. By knowing these rates in advance you’ll help your tenant save time and energy as they book their space now and know their liability premium in advance.
